Franz Schrader and Sally Hughes, Genetist and Zoologist
German-American geneticist Franz Schrader (1891-1962) and American zoologist Sally Hughes-Schrader (1895-1984) in 1919. (They married in 1920.) Schrader researched the cellular basis of genetics. Hughes performed the first complete dissection of the cranial nerves of the dogfish and made studies of hapoidy, parthenogenesis, hermaphroditism, and the life cycle of insects
