Halley's Comet, 1531
Having observed various comets, among them the Great comet of 1533, Apianus, along with Regiomontanus, recognized the antisolar nature of comets tails. The concept is very well depicted here for Halley's comet during its 1531 visit in drawings taken from Apianus's Astronomicum Caesareum
