Hand Arteriogram

Arteriogram of a hand. The radial artery can be seen in the lower left and the ulnar artery in the lower right. This early x-ray was made by Alfred G. Fryatt and published in Archives of the Roentengen (1904). The image is of the hand of a cadaver most likely injected with mercury. It took years before harmless x-ray substances were developed to be used in living patients
