Iron Tail, Sioux Chief, Early 1900s

Iron Tail was a Sioux Chief who fought in both the Battle of Little Bighorn and at Wounded Knee. Later he performed with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, and was a model for the Indian Head nickel. This photo was probably taken in the first decade of the 20th century
