Jacobin Club Meeting
Meeting of the Jacobins, January 1792. During the French Revolution, rebels called Jacobins met to condemn the monarchy and anyone connected with it. Led by Mirabeau and initially moderate, the Jacobins became famous, after Mirabeau's death, for the Reign of Terror, in which thousands were exectued by guillotine.
