Joan Miro in his studio. Miro (1893-1983) was a Catalan-Spanish artist of paintings, collages, ceramics and bronze sculptures, whose work was influenced by Surrealism. In his paintings, he favored bold primary colors and abstract or biomorphic forms that at times evoke cave drawings, playfully naive doodles or sexual symbols
