Magic Circle Made by Benjamin Franklin, 18th C
A magic circle (variation on a magic square) created by Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790). In his autobiography, Franklin says he was so bored while working as clerk of the Pennsylvania Assembly in the 1730s and 1740s that he made "magic squares, or circles, or any thing to avoid weariness."
