Mahalia Jackson
Mahalia Jackson (1911-1972), an African-American gospel singer, at the Harlem Cultural Festival. Known as the first Queen of Gospel Music, Jackson recorded about 35 albums, including a dozen that went gold. She won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1972
