Mary Mcleod Bethune, American Activist
Mary Jane McLeod Bethune (July 10, 1875 - May 18, 1955) was an American educator. In 1932, Franklin D. Roosevelt appointed her a national adviser and together they created the Federal Council on Negro Affairs, also known as the Black Cabinet. In 1973, she was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame
