Montgolfier Hot Air Balloon
In 1783 in Annonay, France, Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier built and launched the first manned hot air balloon. Constructed out of paper and silk, it was launched in Paris and piloted for twenty minutes by Pilatre de Rozier and the Marquis d'Arlande
