Nuclear Particle Tracks
HIstoric image taken from a cloud chamber. The bold geometric pattern of this cloud chamber photograph is made by the disintegration of carbon and oxygen nuclei by 90 million electron volt neutrons from the 4, 000-ton, 184-inch cyclotron at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The heavy tracks are made by heavy nuclear particles propelled from the exploding nuclei
