Passenger Pigeon, Ectopistes migratorius. The Passenger Pigeon was once the most numerous species of bird in all of North America. By 1900 the last Passenger Pigeon was reportedly killed in Ohio and the last one born in captivity died of old age in 1914 at the Cincinnati Zoo
