Perpetual Motion Machine
The Bishop of Chester, John Wilkins, proposed this design in the 1670's demonstrating perpetual motion by magnetic virtues. The lodestone placed on the top of the pedestal was expected to draw the bullet up the straight ramp, whereupon it would fall through a hole and roll back to its starting position
