Skeleton of a baby

A child's skeleton has quite a bit development to still undergo at the point of birth. This image of a healthy newborn girl shows the underdeveloped hips and disconnected leg bones. Her height will increase by 50 percent during her first year of growth and some of her bones will undergo ossification until about age 25
