Sune Bergstrom, Swedish Biochemist
Karl Sune Detlof Bergstr"m (January 10, 1916 - August 15, 2004) was a Swedish biochemist. He was elected a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1966. In 1975, he was appointed to the Nobel Foundation Board of Directors in Sweden. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Bengt Samuelsson and John Vane in 1982, for discoveries concerning prostaglandins and related substances. He died in 2004 at the age of 88
