The laboratory where Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse developed the apparatus for AC systems. George Westinghouse (1846-1914) was an American engineer and entrepreneur who enabled the growth of the railroad. He was also responsible for the hydroelectric development of Niagara Falls. Nikola Tesla was a Croatian-born Serbian scientist (1856-1943). Among other inventions, Tesla pioneered the use of modern alternating current electric power (AC) systems
