Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert lecturing at Harvard University. Psychologists Dr. Timothy Leary (October 22, 1920 aEUR May 31, 1996) and Dr. Richard Alpert (April 6, 1931 aEUR December 22, 2019), who later became known as Ram Dass, conducted questionable research into the therapeutic effects of hallucinogens at Harvard in the 1960s. They were both fired from the university in May 1963
