One in a series of popular prints engraved by Jan van Haelbeck circa 1615 under the title Enigme joyeuse pour les bons esprits (Amusing riddles for good spirits). The images, marketed to university students, illustrated poems in French that were full of indecent double-entendres. Here a woman is working at a hand loom
