Walker Whitman shoe factory, Campello, Boston

The Walker Whitman shoe factory was owned in partnership by William O Walker and William Elbridge Whitman. The factory opened under its name for the purpose of producing shoes for the retail trade. Two well respected and popular lines where the Waukerz and the Whitman special retailing between Three and Five dollars. The factory closed on August 10th 1902 when Whitman retired after suffering from a long illness
