Stamped postcard propaganda Spanish Civil War - Franco

The Spanish Civil War lasted almost three years. During that time each side, the Nationalist rebels under Franco and the Loyalist supporters of the Socialist government, administered the areas under their control. This is an official rebel card commemorating the first anniversary of the revolution. It was sold as a fund raiser. The war had began following a clash between the Spanish Foreign Legion and a communist mob in Spanish Morocco. This card has stamps titled 17 July 1936 National Uprising and is cancelled 17 July 1937 in Tetuan, Morocco. The stamps were produced by Waterlow and Sons, London and designed by M. Bertuchi.
