Reconstructed CWGC Cemetery, Colne Valley, Ypres
The Cemetery faces a feature known as Colne Valley. It is on one of the marked walking routes around the Ypres battlefields. This route, the Writers Path, includes sites connected with Hedd Wynn, Francis Ledwidge, David Jones and Edmund Blunden. Industrial development in the second decade of the 21st Century caused the Cemetery to flood completely and it had to be re-built and raised. It is an example of the care and dedication to their task that the Commission always shows
