Welsh - Caesars Nose - CWGC Cemetery

This small cemetery stands on the site of a German redoubt which was called Fortin 17. Fighting around this area began in 1915. The German defence line had a sharp bend in it which reduced the distance between the opposing sides to some 50 yards. Drawn on a map the line looked like a Roman nose - hence (Caesars). The cemetery is in the middle of a field. It was begun in July 1917 and used until November 1918. There are 68 burials
