A striking picture of the Nazi swastika emblem on wheels

Early in 1932 Hitler contested the Presdential elections against Hindenburg and lost marginally. On 31 July 1932 however, the Nazi Party became the largest group in the Reichstag by winning 230 seats in the national election and polling over 13, 700.000 votes. This card shows a Brownshirt SA team electioneering on behalf of Hitler and the Nazis in Bad Oeynhausen. The precise year is uncertain, but it is plainly 1932 or earlier, because once the Nazi Party had gained control there was no need for further elections. The large swastika on wheels reads Germany Awakes.
