Babies - Children - Multiple Births

Nov. 11, 1959 - Which Mother For Susan Adoption Battle Continues: Mr. and Mrs. Cherry of Kentish Town yesterday travelled 400 miles to Glasgow with two year old Susan. They met Mrs. Helen Kane, Susan's mother who had not seen the child since she was seven months old and talked over the future of Susan without coming to an agreement. The Cherry's have cared for Susan - in the belief that they would be allowed to adopt her. Now Mrs. Kane says she wants Susan back as she intends to emigrate and take her with her. Photo shows Mrs. Helen Kane (left) and Mrs. Cherry who holds Susan - when they met in Glasgow yesterday
