Church Street Triumphal Arch street decoration at Preston Guild 1902. Boys holding newspapers to sell stand in the foreground. The arch is decorated with towers on either side with a union Jack flying from the top of each tower and a lamb, a shield and a coat of arms on the top. Temporary Triumphal Arches were popular street decoration at Preston Guild. They helped to welcome people to the Guild at the main entrances to the town
