One of 10 cards in Nowak-Varsovies Vox Mortuum Series
Halt! One of 12 striking designs under the title Vox Mortuum (Voice of the Dead) for the World-wide Union of Women for International Peace. The association was formed by American Clara dArcis on the outbreak of WW1. It continued strongly in the post-war years, working with the League of Nations.
