Adolf Hitler with three chimney sweeps

The three cyclists are chimney sweeps, and the one on the right is holding the traditional top hat, which is still worn on the Continent today. In the mid-1920s, following his release from prison, Hitler drove around the countryside with a small group of associates (one of whom was the photographer Heinrich Hoffmann) planning his return to public life. It is quite possible that the Fuhrers car met these sweeps on such a drive and Hoffmann staged the photograph for good luck
