Adolf Hitlers Birthplace, Braunau, Austria
Braunau is a small, attractive town on the banks of the River Inn, not far from Munich and Salzburg. The house on the right is where Hitler was born on 28 April 1889. In 1930 when this picture was taken it served as the local library but, after it increasingly became a shrine for neo-Nazis, the Austrian Government appropriated the house in 2016. There is now a plaque outside which warns of the perils of Fascism in the name of millions of dead. It is a Memorial to Nazi Victims
