This card celebrates the German occupation of Asch on the Czech-German border on 21 September 1938 - Asch is free! Heil Hitler! It was posted in Asch on 23 September. Either a designer and printer worked overtime to produce it, or someone prepared the design and printed the card before the event! Or did the postman backdate his cancellation? Ironically Chamberlain was meeting Hitler that day in the hope of averting such an event
