Blackshirted riflemen defend their blackshirt flag

Following the end of the First World War, aggressive socialism in its extreme form of bolshevism was blown across Europe by the explosive force of the Russian Revolution. In Spain, Germany and Italy, armed internal struggles between the Bolsheviks and the extreme right, to gain power, led eventually to the establishment of right wing dictatorships in those countries. Here the Blackshirts ( he first to fight bolshevism), Mussolinis Fascists (the black motif was later adopted for Mosleys followers in Britain and the SS in Germany), are in armed confrontation with the unseen bolshevik enemy
