Canadian Queen's Own Rifles & 1st Hussars Memorial
This Memorial is in the Place des Canadiens in le Mesnil Patry. The bronze plaques carry the names of those killed on 11 June 1944. The Queen's landed around 0800 on D-Day and suffered the heaviest Canadian casualties of all, however, they reached their D Day objective that same day - the village of Anisy, some 9 miles inland
