The cartoon titled Lest We Forget shows Lloyd George disguised as a policeman running away from a meeting in Birmingham and beside that image are headstones of members of the aristocracy killed in the war - e.g. Marquis of Winchester, Earl of Ava and Earl of Airlie. The Earl of Ava was killed during the siege of Ladysmith. Boer War
