This group were probably photographed at about 02.00 hours on 30 September 1938, just after the signing of the Munich Agreement. Chamberlain and Daladier on the left look dismayed. Well they might, because their next task was to explain to the waiting Czech emissaries what had happened to their country. Hitler, Mussolini and at the end, Ciano, Ii Duce's son-in-law, don't seem any happier
