First British Graves Memorial, Colleville-Montgomery
Ths is at the side of Avenue du No 4 Commando. It commemorates those killed on 6 June 1944 and is one of the first permanent memorials erected along the beaches - on 6 June 1945. It lists the Anglo-French forces of General Montgomery, Capitaine Kieffer of No 10 (Inter-Allied) Commando and the decision of Colleville to add Montgomery to its name
