First HQ in France for journalists covering the invasion

The Press had established themselves in Bernieres by 1030 hours on D-Day in the Hotel de Grave, now a private house, No 288, Rue du Regiment de la Chaudiere. The plaque commemorates The first HQ for journalists, photographers and moviemakers, British and Canadian, from which the first reports destined for the press and radio of the world were despatched
