German Anti-British propaganda - Gen Warren in black ink

General Warren had a varied career before South Africa - he had served elsewhere in Africa, was Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police during the Jack the Ripper era and was also an archaelogist of note. However, he had had operational Command during the Boer War Spion Kop disaster and was recalled in August 1900. The card shows a fallen Warren on a map of Africa filling with black ink
