German tanks & planes in dramatic action Spanish Civil War
The aeroplanes are probably meant to represent the Heinkel (He) 51, the first Luftwaffe fighter to be built in large numbers. More than thirty He51 aircraft served with the Legion Condor and in total over 100 were used in Spain in one form or another. The tank resembles the Panzerkampfwagen 11 (Pzl 1) whose gun could fire both armour piercing and high explosive ammunition. The Pzll came into use early in 1936, though it did not serve in Spain
