Hitler arriving at Riechs Party Day Nuremberg 1933

The card shows the Fuhrer arriving with his Staff at the Luitpoldhain, Nuremberg, rally ground. Powerful rallies were held on the Nuremberg site, mainly designed by Albert Speer, between 1933 and 1938. Their purpose was to demonstrate the power of the Nazi Party and to maintain the enthusiasm of the 50, 000 or so attendees, with stirring parades, blazing Wagner music and rousing speeches. The climax was the consecration of flags by touching them to the Blutfahne, the flag bloodstained by the victims of the Beer Hall putsch of 1923
