One people, one country, one leader - as 1938 came to an end, Germany was riding high. Her leader was fulfilling his promises. The nation was proud and excited, unemgployment was under control and one by one the Fuhrer was bringing back into Grossdeutschland (Greater Germany) the territories taken away by the Treaty of Versailles. This card celebrates that situation and commemorates the homegcoming ('Heimkehr') of the Saar (1.3.35), Austria (12.3.38) and the Sudetenland (1.10.38)
