Memorial to the Belgian Piron Brigade, Ranville Church
There is another Piron Plaque just outside the entrance to the British War Cemetery in Ranville. The Brigade landed on Gold Beach on 5 August and 17th August, in Operation Paddle.They moved through this area and onward along the coastline to Salenelles, Cabourg, Houlgate and Auberville - and to Pont Audemer where the today's bridge stands. Memorials mark their passage
