Mussolini & Hitler handshake at Kufstein by el Duce's train
The card carries the caption, The meeting, and the excitegment that the two dictators felt as they met is very clear. Fellow conspirators, they were off to play political poker against Britain and France. In the pot was Czechoslovakia. Mussolini left Rome in his special train, seen off by cheering crowds, and was met early on the 29 September by Hitler at the small town of Kufstein near the Austrian border, not far from Munich
