Wolf Willrich as a Nazi-approved artist, painted a complete picture gallery of all arms of the service. The series featured all ranks, from private to Field-Marshal; ordinary seaman to Admiral; airman to Air-Marshal, and included many Iron Cross and other award winners. The un-named engineer looks like the explosives expert of the Sturmabteilung (storm group) in the plan which Hitler himself conceived for the taking of fort Eben Emael in Belgium
