Nazi group in the very early days

This is an early photograph, probably produced for those pictured in it. The use of uniforms, insignia and pageantry, the controlled award of medals as symbols of merit, were major contributors to the popularity of the Nazi movement, progressively promulgated by Hitlers Minister of Propaganda, Goebbels. A sense of belonging to something important and exciting accompanied the issue of uniform and title. This group displays a varied selection of uniforms, including a splendid ceremonial head-dress which can just be made out at the left rear. The soldier on the front rank right, has the rank badge of full Corporal on his sleeve and the man behind is a Lance-Corporal
