North Nova Scotia Highlanders Memorial, Authie
In the fighting around the village on 7 July 1944 the Highlanders lost 84 men and 158 men wounded or taken prisoner. In this area, 23 men were executed at the Abbaye d'Ardenne by the 25th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment under Colonel Kurt Meyer
