Sherman tank with General Leclerc Memorial Utah Beach
The French 2nd Armoured Divison landed here on 2/8/44 as part of General Patton's 3rd Army. The memorial is one of a number along the beaches all of the same style which were put up by the Comite du Debarquement. There are also marker stones to the Free French Forces
