Somali bugler plays before a symbolic Italian army

Most Italian regiments seem to have their own postcards. Sometimes large companies in the areas of Italy from which a regiment drew its main strength, would subsidise a card which soldiers could have free, or for very little money. The actions of 1935/1936 were used by Mussolini to bolster his reputation at home by emphasising Italys place in world affairs as a colonial power. This card is a regimental one for the VIII Somali Battalion, the Leopard battalion
