Tented city at Nuremburg for the Rally workers
This is the Langwasser camp area, just a few kilometres from the rally grounds. Each rally required an extraordinary amount of organisation, and the huge labour force - as well as the army of participants - was housed in this vast tented city. Each individual had an identifying number, a specific train or lorry to ride in, a specific seat in the train or lorry, a specific tent to live in, and a specific bed to sleep in. This card, posted on 10 September 1935, carries the official 6Pf green stamp, and is cancelled with the official slogan. The written message is, Best wishes from the Reichsparteitag. Heil Hitler
