Land of Lost Content Collection

Roughly spanning the 1910s to the 1980s, Land of Lost Content reflects the changing tastes of society through a compelling mix of leaflets, magazines, badges, objects, catalogues, cards, collectibles and slogans guaranteed to elicit the words, I remember that! from even the most cynical and forward-looking of individuals. It is the history of design, fashion - and stuff - but most of all, it is the history of us.

Liss Fine Art

Liss Fine Art specialises in the unsung heroes and heroines of British art from 1880 to 1980. During the last 20 years Liss have worked in association with museums to develop a series of in-depth exhibitions to encourage the reappraisal of some lesser known figures of 20th century British art.

London Fire Brigade

This collection which we represent exclusively, documents the fire service in London from the 19th century to the present day. Not only is it an incredible record of the development of firefighting equipment and techniques from early uniform to horse-drawn fire engines, it is also a visual record of the history of the LFB itself and includes key figures and significant fires such as the destruction of the Crystal Palace in 1936.

Look & Learn Nursery Material

Content from some of the most well-loved British magazines for children from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. These include Playhour (1954-87), Jack and Jill (1954-87), Harold Hare (1959-64), and Teddy Bear (1963-73), all of which regularly sold hundreds of thousands of copies a week. The archive also includes much of the original artwork - meaning that many of these vintage images can now be reproduced to an exceptional standard.

Sandra Lousada

Sandra Lousada grew up amidst a circle of actors, writers and artists. This has led to a series of frequently intimate portraits of a stellar cast of sitters including David Hockney, Edith Evans, Jean Shrimpton, Laurence Oliver and Benjamin Britten, often captured in moments of spontaneity at work or at home with family. Aside from her portrait work, her fashion photography follows changing trends and tastes over five decades.
