The National Archives

The National Archives is the official archive of the UK Government, containing over 1000 years of history in a variety of formats including documents, posters, maps, advertisements, manuscripts and more. Included among the treasures from the image library is the will of William Shakespeare, the death certificate of Oscar Wilde, an indictment of highwayman Dick Turpin, Empire Marketing Board posters, and stunning Victorian textiles and wallpaper designs.

The National Army Museum Trading Ltd.

The National Army Museum is a leading authority on the British Army and its impact on society past and present with a world-class collection reflecting the role of the army as protector, aggressor and peacekeeper from the British Civil Wars to the modern day. Spanning almost five centuries of army history, the collection is an eclectic mix of photographs, prints, maps, paintings and objects with images tracing British Army campaigns and conflicts around the world.

National Museums Northern Ireland

The superlative collection of fine art paintings, watercolours, and prints of the National Museums of Northern Ireland contains works of international importance and historic significance. At its heart is the Irish collection from the Ulster Museum with paintings from the late 1600s to the present day, and featuring such celebrated artists as Sir John Lavery, William Conor, and John Luke.

The Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum in London, is one of the biggest and oldest institutions of its kind in the world, having begun life in 1753. It continues to be one of the most visited museums in Europe. The museum collection contains over 80 million items and Mary Evans Picture Library is pleased to represent many of its most important images.

CES AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, an education provider and publisher based in Astana, Kazakhstan have placed a set of images with us of historical illustrations originally commissioned for their own learning courses. As well as key figures and events in Kazakh history, the collection also encompasses imagery covering central Asia from stone age and early civilisation to invading armies, significant battles and 20th century political portraits.
