Satirical cartoon, The Rival Pigs. People who paid a guinea for a licence to wear hair powder under Pitt's hair powder tax of May 1795 were satirised as guinea pigs'. Here the rival pigs Pitt and Fox sit back to back. A trim Pitt has powdered hair dressed high and with his queue (tail) in a bag, while Fox (a pig without a guinea) is a bulky hog with unkempt hair, the five o'clock shadow on his face resembling piggy bristles. They are both depicted with pig's trotters
